ROCKLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Police say that two men who have been selling hundreds of Oxycodone pills along the Midcoast have been arrested.
Maine Drug Enforcement Agents arrested Andrew Goupil, 33, from Wiscasset and Joseph Dupaw, 68, from Dresden Tuesday morning.
In a media release from the Department of Public Safety, spokesman Steve McCausland says that the men have been under investigation for months. McCausland writes that Knox County Sheriff's Deputies and the Wiscasset Police Department were also involved in the investigation.
The MDEA seized 200 pills at the time of the arrest, along with $1,550 cash. The pills would sell for about $7,000.
Goupil, who has two prior drug convictions, is facing a charge of Aggravated Trafficking. Dupaw will be charged with trafficking and violating his bail conditions from a recent assault arrest.
Both men are being held at the Knox County Jail.
